Per quello ripresentiamo la stessa petizione, in onore di chi si è sempre occupato nel modo in cui prevede la legge di questa vicenda, perché non ci stati i riscontri che la legge ha promesso, dov'è la giustizia ci dite di denunciare e adesso, quanto vi dovete vergognare per non aver assolto il vostro dovere, e il vostro giuramento era vero? perché questa sarà la rivolta che darà giustizia a Sebastiano:

I sottoscritti, a seguito dell'episodio della barbara uccisione del cane Sebastiano, seppur confidenti nella Giustizia e in attesa del corso di quest'ultima, chiedono agli Enti preposti che vigilino e prendano tutti i provvedimenti necessari affinché mai più possano essere perpetrate azioni crudeli e illegittime contro i randagi.
Da molti anni si susseguono episodi ingiustificati e ingiustificabili di soppressioni, sparizioni di randagi, atti cruenti e tutti aventi come protagonisti personale ASL del Servizio Veterinario di L'Aquila, episodi rimasti impuniti e che quindi portano un contributo decisamente negativo all'immagine di Enti e Istituzioni abruzzesi.

Chiediamo che il problema del randagismo venga affrontato non in modo "punitivo", come fosse una crociata contro i randagi, ma con sterilizzazioni, con una corretta informazione dei cittadini a riguardo dei cani di quartiere e dei randagi in generale - finora criminalizzati - e che tutto questo avvenga nel rispetto di leggi, regolamenti, codici deontologici, e sopratutto con una maggior collaborazione con le Associazioni.

Assolti perché il fatto non costituisce reato». È la sentenza pronunciata nel tardo pomeriggio di ieri dal giudice unico del Tribunale che ha messo fine alla vicenda giudiziaria di "Sebastiano", un incrocio di pastore abruzzese maschio di giovane età, morto (secondo l'accusa) dopo una serie di maltrattamenti.Sotto inchiesta per la vicenda che aveva fatto infuriare le associazioni animaliste erano finiti in tre: Saverio Flamini (dirigente veterinario della Asl), Paolo Alessandri (ausiliario in servizio alla stessa Asl) e una terza persona anche lui ausiliario, morto lo scorso anno. Per i tre imputati (assistiti dagli avvocati Ulderico Persichetti e Ernesto e Massimiliano Venta) il giudice Giuseppe Romano Gargarella ha sentenziato con l'assoluzione.
Il via all'inchiesta era stata data da Cristina Graziani, del gruppo regionale dei Verdi, veterinario, testimone dell'episodio. La Graziani aveva rinvenuto il cane (prelevato in ottima salute) in una pozza di sangue all'interno della cella frigorifera del servizio Veterinario della Asl, dopo la cattura dell'animale avvenuto in via dei Giardini a pochi passi dalla sede dell'Inps. M.I.

SOS DEPORTAZIONI: CANILE TRE QUERCE-POMEZIA
IMPEDIAMO CHE ALTRI INNOCENTI VENGANO TRASFERITI IN CANILI DOVE NON SONO PRESENTI VOLONTARI
4 cani del comune di Palombara Sabina, seguiti da anni dai volontari della Marilù, sono stati trasferiti senza preavviso al Canile Casa Luca.
Entro il mese di agosto sono previsti altri trasferimenti in vari canili dove non sono presenti associazioni di volontari.
Non possiamo ignorare i rischi e i traumi connessi al trasferimento, le possibili aggressioni in un ambiente diverso dal canile in cui erano ospitati in recinti, dove si erano ormai ambientati, o in gabbie dalle quali uscivano regolarmente. Si tratta di cani che, nonostante la reclusione, avevano trovato il loro equilibrio, e vivevano in modo dignitoso nella struttura Tre Querce, accuditi e seguiti con costanza dai volontati presenti tutti i giorni da sette anni. L'assenza di volontari in un canile comporterebbe:
- l'impossibilità di far uscire dalle gabbie i cani reclusi, con i problemi comportamentali e le sofferenze che ne derivano
- una scarsa probabilità di adozione, spesso anche dovuta al ridotto orario di visita al pubblico
- la mancanza delle innegabili attenzioni, delle cure amorevoli e dell'affetto che verrebbero meno ai cani amati e seguiti da sempre
I cani dei seguenti comuni verranno presto trasferiti in altri canili, con il vostro aiuto dobbiamo impedirlo.
Nettuno, Pontinia, Fonte Nuova, Vicovaro, Bellegra, Fiano Romano, Riano Flaminio, Capena, Affile, Sonnino.
La nostra unica speranza è che la asl e il comune di Pomezia ci sostenga e permetta l'ampliamento del canile Tre Querce per permettere l'accoglienza sia dei cani del comune di Ardea, sia dei circa 450 cani già presenti. Se non fosse possibile ampliare il canile, l'unica speranza per questi cani sarebbe un'adozione e l'accoglienza in un rifugio o associazione gestito da volontari. La Marilù chiede il sostegno delle associazioni animaliste - sostenete la nostra petizione firme nazionale "almeno noi, NON li abbandoniamo !!!"

We, the undersigned, call upon the President of the parliament of the European Union to stop immediately the killings of stray dogs and stray cats in the countries of the EU and to start area-wide spay/neuter programs. Of course the kill-shelters have to be turned into no-kill-shelters at the same time.

Member states like Austria or Germany show, that it is possible to shelter every homeless dog or cat. It is cruel and barbaric to kill healthy living beings just because they have no home and some states of the EU have already passed a law to ban this cruelty. We call for those laws all over the European Union, no stray dog or cat should be killed any more!

Il comune di Campobasso ha chiuso la porta in faccia alla signora Maria Rosaria Romano che gestisce il canile di Mirabello Sannitico Contrada Vallevecchia. Non solo la struttura é fatiscente e inadeguata, ma agli oltre 700 cani ivi ospitati manca di tutto. Questa situazione va avanti da mesi, la signora non riceve il denaro dal Comune di Campobasso relativo al mantenimento di questi cani da
molto tempo e per questo si sta cercato di dare una mano a livello di volontariato.

Chiediamo quindi che il Comune di Campobasso provveda immediatamente a pagare quanto dovuto, affinché sia assicurato il benessere animale come la legge richiede.

Protest against urgent closing of the overcrowded shelter "I Fratelli Minori" in the Sardinian city of Olbia.

Take action against this by signing and sending a protest letter to the responsible persons.
Inhuman conditions, over 750 dogs declared free must fear being shot by the mayor, on whose conscience rests de decision of the closing, might give the order to put stray dogs to sleep.
The other option is to put dogs in another shelter where little or no medical care is performed, and there is not enough to eat and drink.
Italian shelters are famous for their mob-related management. They get money from the community but do not use to take care of the dogs. Italians and Sardinians in general are not interested in the fate of these poor animals.

Because of lack of space in the overcrowded shelter, the animals must live in inhuman conditions with no help from the authorities of the city of Olbia. Neither in hot summers, hardly any shadow, and in cold, wet winters (ear infections, diarrhea) are they ever protected. It concerns the shelter for stray dogs, Lida Sezione di Olbia, with over 750 dogs in Sardinia, Italy, being forced to shut down. The shelter has been for years a problem for the mayor, Giovanni Giovanelli, of the city, who makes a use of the island of La Maddalena, which was a gathering place for the G8 TOP, and which will be hosting an airport in 2009.
This mayor is under the responsibility of the ministry of internal affairs, where Giuliano Amato is the minister and Marco Minniti is the vice-minister and the secretariat consisting of: Marcella Lucidi, Ettore, Rosato, Alessandro Paino and Franco Bonato. www.interno.it
The shelter must provide a roof for stray dogs of the cities of Olbia, Palau, Aggius and Calangianus, and 200 to 300 dogs among those can stay. In the meantime there are over 750. There are 8 people working at the shelter being paid and insured.
They are threatening not only to quit their jobs, but they all declare that the dogs will leave the shelter over their dead bodies only! They dedicated their life and soul to taking care of the dogs and now everything should come to an end because of such stupid decision of closing the shelter! They took care of so many, so badly injured or abused or underfed dogs:
All of this is taking place at a few minutes driving distance from the Costa Smeralda, the most exclusive holiday place in Sardinia (to buy a piece of land here is 24.000 euros/m2).
The area aims at the richest tourists, among whom European and Arabian VIPs. The Italian ex-prime minister Silvio Berlusconi has a villa in Costa Smeralda, where he receives his special guests like Vladimir Putin and Tony Blair. His son also owns a large portion of land on the island. And there live, along these coasts, many football players of the A series, for example players of Milan, Roma, Juventus etc. and also players from Cagliari live there. The richest kings and queens spend their time there (for example Lady Diana spent her last days there).
Do people know what is going on behind their golden walls?
No?
No matter how many dog shows are organised there every year, where they provide information about the shelter in need, the rich don't care about what's going on for the poor animals. Literally nobody cares.
And the Americans who stay on La Maddalena are very busy (???). The time they spend there (polluting the sea with radio-active weapons) they get a dog from the shelter just to take it back there once they are ready to go back to the United States. Importing the dogs into the United States is not without any effort, so why not leaving the dogs behind on the street?
Sardinian newspapers and tv channels are not motivated to present the conditions of the shelter ( la nuova Sardegna, L’Unione Sarda,Videolina, Sardegna Uno). No! It seems that that a newspaper would rather publish a recipe on how to prepare cats meat!!!
The German organisation Niemandshunde offers help in the means of food transportation, money raises for some cows in quarantine, travelling cases (the ones that are now used for dogs that are wounded or that have just been operated), some medical costs. But their goal is mostly to free many dogs from their present severe living conditions and to provide adopting families in Germany. The Respektiere organisation as well takes care of providing adopting families for dogs.
Unfortunately all of these efforts are useless if a spaying and neutering programme is not established.

Gentili Signori,
Occorre ottenere a livello politico che non vengano più assegnate concessioni ai cosiddetti "gestori".
Queste persone disprezzano il piu grande diritto di un cane o di un gatto: potere trovare UN POSTO IN UNA FAMIGLIA che li tratti in modo adeguato.
La mentalità della sterilizzazione deve assolutamente essere affermata, anche fra i PRIVATI.
Non basta che i cani randagi, precisamente i cani nei canili,vengano castrati.
Molti cani vengono abbandonati dai privati, soprattutto quando le femmine sono gravide.
Ad alto livello, quindi da parte dell’Autorita dei Sindaci, devono essere offerte gratuitamente azioni di sterilizzazione.
Di tanto in tanto ci sono state sterilizzazioni gratuite da parte delle autorita veterinarie: sono state però talvolta effettuate da veterinari non coscienziosi, incuranti delle prescrizioni igieniche, provocando alle fine anche la morte degli animali.
Se le sterilizzazioni sono condotte in questo modo, le persone non prendono neppure in considerazione questa offerta.
Va diffusa l’informazione che TENERE UN CANE IN GABBIA e di per sè gia una tortura, che va PROIBITA, come del resto dovrebbe essere VIETATO PER LEGGE tenere tre o quattro cani in spazi ridottissimi ed in condizioni igieniche pessime.
Devono essere condotte campagne informative sulle malattie e sulla loro cura.
Le malattie sono in qualche modo una conseguenza di queste miserabili condizioni di vita.
In un ambiente infetto e promiscuo si concentrano facilmente le mosche ed insetti portatori di leishmaniosi, filaria ed altre malattie. Nelle lezioni a scuola l’amore per gli animali ed il rispetto nei loro confronti deve assumere un ruolo fondamentale.
I canili che operano sotto la bandiera dell’ENPA devono essere indotti a rispettare le leggi vigenti.
L’alimentazione deve essere adeguata e deve essere incentivato il ricollocamento dei cani senza padrone attraverso ampie campagne informative presso i privati e con altre iniziative (giornate di apertura dei canili al pubblico).
Quando i canili non osservano le disposizioni di legge non serve chiuderli, ma le autorità devono intervenire prontamente
e coscienziosamente per migliorare la situazione per il bene degli animali.

PROTESTA CONTRO LA CACCIA AI CINGHIALI ORGANIZZATA DA ION TIRIAC

Ogni anno, nel villaggio di Balc, vicino ad Oradea, l'ex tennista e uomo d'affari Ion Tiriac organizza una sanguinosa caccia al cinghiale, durante la quale circa 200 animali (tra i 700 rinchiusi in una riserva di caccia) vengono uccisi. Alla battuta partecipano Ministri e uomini d'affari di primissimo piano, provenienti da tutto il mondo. Si tratta infatti di un evento mondano prestigioso, a cui è ammessa una "casta" e a cui tutto il paese guarda con interesse e invidia.
Per il primo annoè stata organizzata una protesta da parte dell'Associazione Vegetariana Romena, alla quale vogliamo dare massima visibilità . Firmate la petizione!

Call for a boycott of all Tiriac businesses to protest the Balc wild boar hunt

We, the undersigned, as ethical persons and people of conscience, declare our intention not to support, even implicitly, the event organized every year in January near Balc, Romania, by Mr. Ion Tiriac (famous Romanian tennis player, now a businessman and the richest man in Romania). Therefore, we will pull out any contribution and in the future we will avoid involvement as clients in any Tiriac companies. We consider that the Balc wild boar hunts, during which the invited guests (foreign and Romanian politicians and big business tycoons, partners or potential partners of Ion Tiriac) kill about 200 animals each year, are in essence massacres disguised as entertainment and "sport" for VIPs.
Besides the "bloody sport" aspect with which we cannot agree, we are also indignant about the fumact that, as all the evidence would indicate, this hunt was an illegal activity. According to Order No. 315/2006 given by the Romanian Minister of Agriculture, the maximum quota of animals that can be "harvested" on the designated hunting grounds (belonging to AVPS Wild Boar) is of 50 wild boars (of which only 10 can be shot by foreign hunters) - which is clearly surpassed by the number of animals killed by Mr. Tiriac's guests. On the other hand, if the hunt occurred not on the "designated hunting grounds" but "in the pen," this would violate Legislative Act 250/2004 regarding animal protection, which forbids opening fire against domestic animals or animals in captivity. The same problem of the illegality of the anual Balc hunt has come up in previous years, but this fact does not seem to affect Mr. Tiriac in any way, especially with organizing these events that each year grow in magnitude and attract more and more "eminent" guests.
Because the funds that allow Mr. Ion Tiriac to stage these hunts come partly from the clients who invest in one way or another in the companies owned by him, we commit ourselves to boycotting all the various enterprises under the Tiriac Holding umbrella. Among these are HVB Tiriac Bank, Allianz Tiriac Asigurari Romania, Tiriac Leasing, TiriacAuto, Tiriac Travel, Ion Tiriac Air.
We hope that this gesture will have an effect and will be some food for thought for the people whom it targets - Mr. Ion Tiriac and those who have participated in the Balc hunts in the past: Ion Ion Tiriac, Romanian politicians Adrian Nastase, Petre Roman, Ilie Sarbu, Klaus Mangold (president of Daimler Chrysler Service), Wolfgang Porsche (owner of the well-known sports car maker), Julius Meinl (owner of the food industry empire), Burckhard Bergmann (CEO of Ruhrgas), princes Max Emanuel von Thurn und Taxis and Dimitrie Sturdza, Siegfried Wolf (president of the Magna Europa auto-parts company), Spanish bankers Jose Merino Jimenez, Gonzalo Merino Nieto and Jose Luis Zanetti Duenas from Spain, Carlo Pesenti (president of the Italcementi Group), Franz Rauch (the largest producer of natural juices in Europe), Rudolf Streicher (Austrian politician, former minister), Mark Miles (former president of the Professional Tennis Association), businessmen Elan Schwartzenberg, Sandu Georgescu and Dragos Dobrescu (real estate), Tinu Sebesanu (general manager of Howard Johnson Grand Plaza) and many others - and that it will put a stop to the organizing of these bloody events in the future.
